Event description:
The introductory satellite remote sensing course Observing the Earth From Space begins at 9:00 am on Tuesday 19 January 2016. This course meets for lectures Tuesday and Thursday mornings and has one 2 hour lab section each week. Students learn how to manipulate images and extract meaningful information from a variety of satellite sensors. After learning a collection of image processing tools and techniques during lectures and lab exercises, students will be well prepared to apply these skills to a remote sensing project of their choosing. This project is in lieu of a final examination.
