Description:

My project involves the analysis of remotely sensed imagery for archaeological purposes in West Africa, particularly the Middle Niger region of Mali.  Current personal project involves an archaeological survey in the area immediately surround Timbuktu (and the site of TBZ 2). Remotely sensed imagery will be useful in gaining an understanding of the region and its landscape.

Also, I am currently working with Anthro/Archaeology graduate students Douglas Park and Peter Coutros on the YCEI Timbuktu project and they have plans for remote sensing projects in the immediate future.
