Identification of Livingstone’s Fruit Bat Roosting Sites in the Comoros Islands

Start Date:

Description:

The purpose of this project is to characterize known Fruit Bat roosting sites using satellite images, digital elevation data, and field maps. With images from different dates, it may be possible to identify landscape changes over time that impact roosting sites. This information would be very useful in prioritizing conservation sites in the Comoros Islands. This could also reveal previously undiscovered roosting sites on the islands.
