SpaceX Falcon Heavy Launch

On February 6, 2018 SpaceX successfully launched the Falcon Heavy rocket into space.  This is the largest rocket launch since the Saturn 5 missions to the moon many decades ago.  There are quite a few things that are pretty spectacular about this mission. 

First, it was done by a private company.

Second, it had an unusual payload.  Elon Musk’s personal Tesla Roadster complete with a “spaceman.”  See a picture from the front seat, along with many other great shots and video, on the Verge at:

Third, and most amazing.  The two outer booster rockets returned to earth and landed at almost the same time.  Now they can be reused again.  You can see a video of the landing here:
