Description:

The Quiet Corner Initiative is a new effort on the part of the Yale School of Forestry to enact a collaborative forest conservation among private landowners around Yale-Myers Forest.  The initiative includes several aspects - ecosystems services analysis, a woodland partnership, and social science research.  I will incorporate satellite data (primarily land cover, but also potentially land use change and biophysical parameters) in the development of these projects.  Potential uses are first approximations of forest cover, biomass, etc.
