Description:

I will be continuing some work from my summer research, completed at the Northwest Environment Watch. This involved GIS work creating maps of 15 different US cities and showing how they grew from 1990-2000. I am comparing how each city grew and how the cities’ growth management strategies are related to their growth patterns. I hope to present this information to the American Planning Association conference in March.

I will be extending the earlier GIS work. In addition, I will be using satellite images as another method for comparing these cities and how they have grown.
