Interface of a Hydrologic Model with Landscape Management

The larger project involves the development of an intellectual learning laboratory based on a privately-owned and managed forested watershed in Northern Idaho. This laboratory involves the inter-relationship between forested landscape management and water quantity and quality. This includes the use of landscape data from the study watershed in courses at the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies as well as an online learning laboratory for age groups varying from K-12 to graduate students and professionals.

More specifically, my work within this project focuses on the integration of a hydrologic model with the Landscape Management System software to allow that software to predict water quantity and quality consequences of forest management practices. This project involves analysis of the landscape and its corresponding surface water hydrology.
